Get lost in the Jewish quarter

Welcome to the the caliphate city. in Cordova you can find a lot of charming corners that reflect the Andalusian culture and history. This city maintains its historical features and combines it with the modern.

In 1994, Unesco (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) recognized the universal importance of Cordovan historical sites, awarding the title of World Heritage Site not only to the Mosque-Cathedral, but also to the entire urban ensemble that surrounds it. Here you can find the Jewish quarter known as La Juderia, which consists of a labyrinth of narrow streets and corners that you can not miss, such as the alley of flowers and the souk, where you can enjoy authentic local crafts.

On the border of the Jewish quarter is the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos, where you can stroll through its gardens and enjoy the views of the city of Córdoba from its towers. You can ontinue your visit by walking along the banks of the Guadalquivir and crossing the Roman Bridge until you reach the Tower of Calahorra to enjoy the sunset.

Another must-see in Cordoba is the historical and archaeological site of Medina Azahara, which has received the title of World Heritage Site in July 2018. A palatine city that Abd-al Rahman III built, just 8 kilometers from Cordova, where the Arabic essence of the time is preserved, allowing us to get an idea of the architecture and majesty of that period.

Lose yourself along its streets, take a peak at the courtyards, breathe the scent of orange blossoms, taste its rich cuisine (flamenquines, oxtail, aubergines with honey, etc.).
