MACIA HOTELS is a company founded in 1973 by José Macia García, dedicated to the hotel, tourism and restaurant-catering business sector. He started his activity with the Hotel Macia Plaza, located in the centrally Nueva Square of Granada capital, with 44 rooms and 9 employees.

Since then, this company has been growing until making up a consolidated and representative business group of the sector in Granada and well established in Andalusia, having today 824 rooms and more than 250 employees.

Property from Cordoba known as “Castillo de la Albaida” is an old Arabic almunia of the IX century: the castle, today restored as a gastronomic restaurant, is the ideal place for the celebration of all type of events.

Since its beginnings, this company has committed with its customers offering a high quality service, constituting nowadays a reference in the sector due to its definitive commitment for quality.

Loyal to our wish to satisfy our customers, Macia Hotels, through the Tourism General Management, implanted a quality system in all of its venues, with the Condor Macia Hotel and its staff direct part-takers in the multiple meetings held developers of the Quality standards that nowadays exist in the sector. Such system is controlled through the ICTE (Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality), and its standards of “Q” stamp.

The Condor Macia Hotel was the first hotel of Granada and Andalusia in certifying according to this system and one of the first at national level.

Today the company counts with a quality department, that watches for the application of the demanding quality standards established for the whole hotel chain.

Macia Hotels is also innovative in the establishment of an Environmental Management System in its venues through the EMAS European Regulation, with the Gran Via Macia Hotel being the first in Granada to develop this project at the present time.
